Who We Are

The Buddhist Temple of San Diego (BTSD) belongs to the Jodo Shinshu (Shin) sect of the Pure Land School of Buddhism, part of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition. Our temple is a member of the Buddhist Churches of America, and in this way is affiliated with the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha in Kyoto, Japan.
