THROWBACK VID: Obon / Bon Odori 2021 (Dancing in Masks)!

Thanks to Dharma Friend and Videographer Joe Cross, we can watch and relive our first Obon and Bon Odori towards the tail end of the pandemic.

At just under an hour, the video includes our outdoor Obon Service and our streamlined Bon Odori. We get to hear Rev. Kenji Akahoshi lead the last Obon service of his career, and as special guest, and former Bishop (Socho), Rev. Kodo Umezu, Retired Emeritus, provide his moving Dharma Talk. Temple President LuAnn Lee shares her gratitude to attendees, and Temple Operations Manager, Ralph Honda, chairs the event..
