& help us remember
This Sunday, Dec. 3, we celebrate the enlightenment of Shakyamuni Buddha and we conduct the monthly memorial, Shotsuki Hoyo, remembering loved ones who passed away in the month of December of any year.
Rev. Hōkai “Smitty” Smith will be our Officiant, and will read the December Shotsuki names.
The Kruse Family will chair the service.
Rev. Kaitlyn will give the Children's & Adult Dharma Talks.
Yukari Williams, CMA, will provide the Japanese Dharma Talk.
Musical accompaniment will beprovided by Robert Yamamoto.
SCHEDULE
In the Hondo (top floor of our main building)
9:00 a.m. for Chanting Group Practice (new members welcome)
10:00 a.m. Kansho (Calling Bell) welcomes you. Rev. Smitty leads us in ritual. Rev. Kaitlyn provides the Dharma School message.
10:30 a.m. (approximate) Dharma School students and teachers excused to classes; adult Sangha remains for the Adult Dharma Talk with Rev. Kaitlyn.
11:15 a.m. (approximate) English-speaking adult sangha excused.
Hospitality. Following these activities, everyone is invited to the Dining Hall, on the Office Level, for light refreshments.
